Coach Dan Knight
Dan learned his Wing Chun from Grandmaster Samuel Kwok, when he qualified he was the youngest Wing Chun instructor in the UK. Over the years Dan has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in Wing Chun and martial arts in general.
Feb 2005 Demonstrated Wing Chun at the Chinese New Year show at the University
2006 – 2007 Lancaster University Wing Chun Society's president
Worked in co-operation with the Women's officer of Lancaster University Student Union to provide free women's Safety and Self Defence classes at the University. These were a huge success. See photo gallery for more information.
Feb 2007 Choreographed and played a lead role in a martial arts stunt show for the Chinese New Year in Lancaster
Jun 2007 Achieved his full instructors' certificate from Grandmaster Samuel Kwok and was given the Chinese name Kwok Chung Yuang 郭忠勇.
Sep 2007 Helped Samuel Kwok author the book Mastering Wing Chun by Empire books U.S.A.
Oct 2007 Traveled to Hong Kong and China to meet Grandmaster Ip Ching and Ip Chun. While on this training Holiday with Grandmaster Kwok Dan also got to visit the Ip Man Tong Museum in Foushan China. He also demonstrated Wing Chun at the largest Wing Chun school in Southern China.
Nov 2007 to date Grandmaster Kwok appointed Dan general secretary for the Samuel Kwok Martial arts association.
Jan 2008 Opened his first Wing Chun Club in Morecombe Lancashire in Regent Park Studios Stunt School.
Apr 2008 Worked with the BBC inside out team to help do the stunt work on a fight scene for a crime reconstruction. Apr 2009 Opened Southfields Wing Chun after moving down to London for work commitments.May 2009 Finished British Council for Chinese Martial Arts (B.C.C.M.A.) level 2 coaching course.

Dan's style of teaching is always relaxed and friendly and he never holds back any information from students mainly because he is used to learning in an open and very efficient way as taught by Grandmaster Kwok. His goal when teaching is to make his students as good as they can possibly be. His personal aims are to improve the standard in which Wing Chun is taught in England and also improve his own ability in terms of speed, power and efficiency.
Coach David Jarrett
David Jarrett began learning Wing Chun under UKWCFA instructor Zab Khan as a teenager before studying for four years under Grandmaster Samuel Kwok. In 2009 Dan Knight invited David to co-found Southfields Wing Chun and awarded him an instructor's qualification. Dave currently works as a door man at some of London's top venues.
2007 Assisted in Lancaster University Women's Self Defence lessons.
Sept 2007 Assisted Samuel Kwok to author the book Mastering Wing Chun by Empire Books, USA.
2007-2008 Assisted Samuel Kwok teaching his Lancaster University classes and ran extra sessions to help beginners advance more rapidly.

Whilst David may seem extremely laid back, his students soon find themselves being pushed to their limits and finding out what they are really capable of. He encourages students to question everything.
